Jeffrey H. Singer Joins Executive Council of New York Board of Advisors
NASDAQ Executive Brings Wealth of Technology and Financial Expertise to Leading Business Organization

The Executive Council of New York today announced the appointment of Jeffrey H. Singer, vice president of the Eastern Region at The NASDAQ Stock Market, to its board of advisors. With experience in both the technology industry and financial markets, Mr. Singer will contribute to broadening the Council's reach as it serves the community and its members.
"The Executive Council provides a unique service to the New York business community," said Mr. Singer. "I look forward to actively contributing to the educational, networking and advocacy programs of the group and helping to foster leadership and economic growth in New York."
Mr. Singer has extensive retail supply chain and software background, with specialties in consulting, complex sales and software implementation development. Prior to joining NASDAQ, he served as president and CEO of 4R Systems, a software company, and as the General Manager of the Apparel Footwear Industry Group at SAP. As regional vice president of the Eastern Region at NASDAQ, Mr. Singer is responsible for maintaining the exchange's leading market position in the east coast, attracting new business and cultivating new customer relationships.

Mr. Singer has an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School and a B.S. in International Finance from Brigham Young University. He joins the current Executive Council board of directors, whose members include Chip Austin, Managing Principal, I-Hatch Ventures; Ray Kalustyan, vice president, EDS, Robert Schwed, Partner, Wilmer Pickering Hale and Dorr; Donna Iucolano, president, e-Scholastic, Martin Cassidy, Director, Microsoft Corporation; Savio Chan, CEO, US China Partners; Mark Hanny, Vice President, IBM; Robert Levitan, co-founder, Dotomi USA; and Patricia Traynor, Vice President, AT&T.
