David Crichlow
Partner
Pillsbury Law

Mr. Crichlow is the managing partner of the firm’s New York office. He is engaged in all aspects of trial and appellate practice in federal and state courts, and in administrative agencies and arbitration tribunals, related to complex commercial disputes. Experience includes work on contract, commercial fraud, securities, banking, government contracts, and class-action litigation, as well as internal corporate investigations.

Representative Matters

  • Representing the Equity Committee in the Solutia bankruptcy in its lawsuit against Solutia’s former parent, asserting that Solutia’s former parent undercapitalized Solutia at its spin-off, and misrepresented the scope of Solutia’s future environmental liabilities in public documents related to the spin-off;
  • Defending one of the country’s largest automobile finance companies in a class action suit alleging violations of New York’s Motor Vehicle Retail Leasing Act;
  • Defending a Cayman Island hedge fund against a $324 million preference action brought by the Creditors’ Committee in the Refco bankruptcy;
  • Representing one of the country’s largest oil companies in several adversary proceedings brought against the Enron Corporation, or its affiliates, in the Enron Bankruptcy, with respect to disputes arising from a pipeline joint-venture between the company’s affiliates and Enron’s affiliates;
  • Successfully representing one of the United States’ largest pension funds in its multimillion dollar suit against a large commercial real estate developer and several construction contractors for the alleged defective design and construction of a New Jersey commercial retail shopping mall, purchased by the pension fund;
  • Successful class action defense of European financial institutions and Japanese industrial companies in litigation arising out of the atrocities of World War II, including: representing a Japanese industrial company in a class-action filed by American POW’s for atrocities allegedly suffered during World War II;
  • Defending a French commercial bank, a European Central Bank, and a German insurance company in separate class-actions alleging the misappropriation of certain of the class’s assets by the respective financial institutions during, and subsequent to, World War II;
  • Conducting an extensive internal corporate investigation of the allegedly corrupt practices of management of a multinational pharmaceutical company at the behest of an independent committee of the Board of Directors; and
  • Representing a large domestic public utility company in its petition before the United States Supreme Court for a writ of certiorari to review a lower court’s decision on the constitutionality of a FERC ruling.

Susie Frazelle
VP, Human Resources

Susie Frazelle joined Dow Jones in December 2007.  She heads the client-facing Human Resources Generalist team.  A Human Resource leader with 16 years of business experience, Susie handles the strategic, operational and managerial responsibilities for HR, Organizational Development, Labor Relations and Communications functions with a staff of 15.

Susie’s previous experience includes that of the Corporate VP, HR for B. Braun Medical, a $1B global Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Company headquartered in Bethlehem, PA with 4,500 employees in North America and the Caribbean.  Responsibility for all aspects of HR, Benefits, Compensation, Employee Training & Development, Organizational Development, Communications, HRIS, and Payroll functions for the Corporate headquarters and 7 manufacturing facilities.  Responsibility for a staff of 100 and an annual budget of $10M.
    
•    Grew the Company from $550M to $1B in 4 years utilizing HR and business strategies.
•    Built company-wide strategic plans; then aligned with employee objectives and incentive programs.  
•    Developed staffing, talent management, performance management, succession planning, and development strategies to recruit and retain talent.
•    Redesigned Benefits and Compensation programs across the Company, decreasing costs by 10% over 3 years.  

Just prior to joining Dow Jones, Susie headed Human Resources for the largest site in the Wyeth global network, overseeing 4,000 employees across three businesses. Wyeth is a $20B manufacturer of pharmaceutical and biotechnology products.  Responsibility for a staff of 35 and an annual budget of $4M. 
•    Led a two-year large-scale organizational and cultural transformation effort driven by the company strategy.  Directly resulted in the achievement of 3 key business imperatives.
•    Defined and implemented the site Labor Relations strategy and achieved a 25% reduction in formal grievances.  
•    Implemented Shared Service organizational model, SAP HR, employee and manager self-service, and an HR Service Call Center.  Improved functional P&L and reduced operating costs by 30%.  
•    Developed and implemented a Strategic Alignment and Project Management process for short and long-term goal planning.

Susie holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from California State University at Fullerton.

Susie is a member of the Wharton Center for Human Resources, University of Pennsylvania Research Advisory Group; Ken Clark International Executive Search, Executive Advisory Board; Executive Council Advisory Board, Human Resources Planning Society; and Society for Human Resources Management. She also has professional affiliations with the Society for Human Resources Management, American Society for Training and Development, and the Corporate Leadership Council.

Raymond Kalustyan
President, Government Services
Fiserv Institutions Group

Raymond Kalustyan is a Corporate Senior Vice President in the Financial Institutions Group and is currently responsible for Fiserv’s government services unit. The charter of this unit is to work with both banking and housing related government agencies, GSE’s and quasi GSE organizations to assist them in addressing the issues that each are facing in today’s environment. Ray has been with Fiserv since July of 2007. In first joining Fiserv, Ray was the Managing Partner of two of Fiserv’s largest/ strategic clients, Citigroup and Merrill Lynch.  Prior to joining Fiserv, Ray was with Electronic Data Systems (EDS) from 2001 to 2007 and served as Managing Director of the NY/ NJ Financial Services Unit.  As the Managing Director, Ray was responsible for the overall P&L of the American Express and FDC/ Western Union EDS client portfolios and responsible for over 200 EDS personnel servicing these clients.

Ray’s experience spans 25 + years in technology and business services including all aspects of consulting, systems integration and outsourcing.  He has served in a variety of leadership roles at Getronics, Logica/Carnegie Group and Unisys and IBM. He brings a broad array of technology and managed services experiences to Fiserv as well as a significant general management skill set.  

Ray received his Masters of Business Administration/Finance from American University and a Bachelors of Science/Finance from Susquehanna University and has participated in executive education at the London School of Business.

Ray lives in Basking Ridge, NJ and works out of the Morris Plains, NJ facility. Ray, his wife Karen and twins Carter and Kendall enjoy spending time at the beach and traveling the United States and abroad. Ray also enjoys golf, tennis and sports in general. He currently coaches youth soccer and baseball for the township of Basking Ridge. Ray is active in the New York City business community and serves on the Board of The Executive Council as well as chairs the Financial Services Advisory Board of The Executive Council.

 

Robert Klein
Vice President, Strategic Accounts, Financial Services

As Director for Strategic Accounts Sales for UPS, Bob Klein was named to his current position in February 2006 and is based in Manhattan. He is responsible for worldwide sales and solutions for financial segment customers headquartered in the north east region of the United States. UPS is focused on deepening customer relationships to create one-to-one linkages that bring the company into its customersÕ business processes. This is achieved through integration of technology tools, creating and enhancing a broad product portfolio and by leveraging UPSÕ supply chain capabilities. A native of Toronto, Ontario, Klein joined UPS Canada business development group in 1990. He has held various positions of increasing responsibility within Canada. Prior to his current position, he was Director of Strategic Accounts Sales with responsibilities for business development and strategy for Canada and Latin America. He received a graduate degree in Political Science from York University.
