Joann Olsovsky is executive vice president and chief information officer at Salesforce. In this role, she oversees Salesforce's global IT organization, including technology strategy, applications, infrastructure, enterprise operations, architecture and program enablement. Salesforce IT partners throughout Salesforce to ensure the platform delivers required business functionality, automation, mobility and an engaging user experience.

Most recently, Olsovsky served as chief information officer of BNSF Railway, supporting more than 2,000 global locations and their North American rail network. During her 10-year tenure as CIO, she led corporate strategy, operations research, data center operations, telecommunications, cybersecurity, train-control operations, disruptive technologies practice, various functional business functions and all application support (e.g. internally/commercially developed and SaaS business applications including the implementation of Salesforce in 2014).

Prior to joining BNSF Railway, Olsovsky led technology teams at Verizon Communications and AT&T, where she was responsible for their extensive internal networks, user productivity applications, network operations centers, cybersecurity and business systems, which supported both internal business partners and commercial contract customers.
