As Senior Vice President & Chief Technology Officer for the NBA, Krishna Bhagavathula is responsible for leading the league’s Information Technology department. He leads efforts to further strengthen the NBA’s technology strategy and vision, delivering best-in-class applications, systems and infrastructure to support the league and its 30 teams.

Prior to joining the NBA, Bhagavathula served as CTO for NBC News Digital, where he led their technology team with a focus on developing web and mobile platforms and products for NBCNews.com, MSNBC and shows including TODAY, Nightly News and Meet The Press. Before joining NBC News in 2013, he spent eight years with WebMD Health, most significantly as Vice President of Engineering, where he led development teams responsible for WebMD’s internet properties, mobile applications, content management and search/discovery platforms. He has also held management consulting positions with BearingPoint, IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers after starting his career as a software developer at Convergys. He has extensive experience driving technology strategy as well as leading and implementing business and technology solutions across a wide range of organizations, from startups to multi-billion dollar corporations.

Kimberly Rometo is responsible for managing and directing the technology initiatives and strategic direction of information technology. She reports directly to Senior Vice President of Business Administration Dan Caspersen.

Rometo previously served as Chief Information Officer at AmericasMart after holding several roles throughout the organization. She was responsible for developing and activating tools that enabled AmericasMart's digital transformation. For this work, she was recognized as a 2018 Women in Technology (WIT) Women of the Year Awards Honoree. Rometo started her career with AT&T in the reputable management training solution sales program.

She serves on the HPE Aruba Retail Customer Advisory Council and the Ohio University J. Warren McClure School of Information and Telecommunication Systems Advisory Board.

Chris Hanz joined the Astros in March 2016 with over 25 years of information technology leadership experience across a variety of industries, including consulting, energy trading, oil and gas, chemicals, and logistics and transportation. Chris provides strategic leadership for the club’s information technology investments and oversees the day-to-day operation of technology for the Astros and Minute Maid Park, plus the club’s owned affiliates and other operating locations.

Prior to joining the Astros, Chris worked in a variety of information technology leadership roles with companies including Accenture, Duke Energy, CEVA Logistics and most recently Halliburton. Chris joined Halliburton in 2014 and served as Senior Manager of IT Mergers and Acquisitions where he was instrumental in executing two major divestitures from the company’s business portfolio. Prior to holding that post, Chris was a partner in the CIO Advisory practice for Tatum, LLC and led a number of business process improvement, technology strategy and M&A projects.
