Matt is the Global Head of Data and Analytics Technology for HSBC Commercial Banking. Matt manages a team of technologists to deliver “data” as a horizontal practice across the commercial bank’s platforms, driving adoption of data best practices, BigData, MDM and analytics. Matt joined HSBC in 2011 as Head of Equity Finance technology and oversaw the merger of this team with Prime Services Technology in 2013, leading the combined team until he moved from Global Banking and Markets to CMB technology at the end of 2014.Matt enjoys partnering with senior business heads to shape technology strategy and deliver innovative, robust and scalable solutions. He has over twenty years professional technology experience within the financial services industry and has held roles programme manager, project manager, business analyst, developer and database designer roles at JP Morgan, RBS and ABN Amro.
