Brian Himstedt starts his 9th season with the Royals in 2018 after joining the organization in November 2009. He oversees all information technology functions for the club and is responsible for applying best practices and leading technologies to help the Royals excel as a model franchise throughout Major League Baseball and professional sports.
Himstedt joined the Royals after over 15 years in technology and business consulting. Previously Brian was a member of the leadership team at The Brighton Agency in St. Louis, directing interactive marketing solution delivery and client strategy. He led the definition and implementation of solutions between major clients such as Monsanto and Scottrade, and major media organizations including The Weather Channel, Yahoo and Google. Prior to joining Brighton, Brian spent eight years with Accenture, specializing in delivery of technology solutions in support of sales and marketing business functions. At Accenture he worked with many Fortune 500 companies including Anheuser-Busch, Del Monte, Johnson & Johnson and Kellogg's. Brian also spent four years with Daugherty Business Solutions in St. Louis, leading a 150 person consulting delivery practice.
