Derek Hyde, vice president of information technolog, most recently served as chief technology officer and senior vice president of business development for Ascendia Ventures. Prior to that, he spent six years working for TrustedChoice.com in a broad range of roles, most recently as chief technology officer. While there, Hyde successfully built internal product and development teams, managed the launch of a new application development platform and outlined key product needs to drive strategic goals. Hyde also worked as vice president of enterprise technologies for Paine Communications from 2005-13 and as a web analyst for the Transportation Research Board of the National Academy of Sciences from 1999-2005.

Hyde leads and oversees all aspects of the Information Technology Department for the Brewers. Coordinating the department that services the evolving demands of the organization, including the Business and Baseball Operations Departments and the organization’s Minor League affiliates. In addition, Hyde is  responsible for all areas of the team’s IT infrastructure, including the development of cutting-edge technology, system design and security.
